Three accounts worth reading

Each person came in with a different starting point. What they share is that they left with something concrete - a skill, a direction, or a clearer sense of what they wanted to build.

Brigitte Okonkwo
Freelance event stylist / Melbourne, AU

Starting with zero background in floristry

Brigitte enrolled in the structured composition series after spending years sourcing floristry for client events without understanding the craft behind it. She needed practical knowledge, not inspiration boards. The online format worked around her project schedule, and the small group sessions meant she could ask questions without waiting for a replay to catch up.

After completing the seasonal arrangement module, she began handling her own floristry for smaller events rather than outsourcing it. It didn't transform her business overnight - it took several months of practice - but the cost savings and creative control were noticeable.

"I kept expecting it to feel overwhelming, but the pacing was honest. They didn't rush through theory to get to the pretty parts."
Advanced floristry technique demonstration during a Ramisilo live session
Tarvo Leppänen
Florist / Helsinki, FI

Refining technique after years in the trade

Tarvo had been working in floristry for over a decade when he joined the advanced structural design series. His goal wasn't to learn the basics - it was to identify what he was doing by habit rather than intention. The instructor feedback on his submitted work was specific enough to be useful, pointing to particular choices rather than general encouragement.

He describes the experience as closer to a professional critique session than a class. It challenged assumptions he'd built up over years and gave him language to explain decisions he'd previously made instinctively.

"It's strange to realise you've been doing something a certain way without ever questioning it. The feedback made me stop and think properly."
How it works

The path most participants take

Not a formula - just the pattern we see most often. Each person moves at their own pace, and some skip steps entirely depending on where they start.
